This remarkable occasion also marked the launch of the International Centre for Digital Trade and Innovation (iC4DTI) (iC4DTI), hosted by Clifford Chance at Canary Wharf, London, UK. As the case for trade digitalisation grows increasingly compelling, the transition to a more affordable, faster, and simpler trading system is far from guaranteed. The PROGRESS platform aims to address this challenge by demonstrating the viability, feasibility, efficiency, and effectiveness by leveraging Artificial Intelligence for advancing the Electronic Trade Documents Act. This initiative is proudly supported by funding from Tees Valley Combined Authority and Innovate UK. Together with colleagues from Teesside University, we engaged with a diverse range of businesses to discuss PROGRESS and explore potential improvements in international trade processes. The conversations provided valuable insights, further enriching our vision for a seamless, digitalised trade ecosystem.
